Application[]

The shotgun is an immensely powerful weapon in close range, being able to incapacitate (if not kill) even the heaviest armoured soldiers in one shot in the hands of most characters, making it a valuable asset for close quarter combat in buildings. If available, players who attempt to clear high risk maps with melee should always bring one with a few rounds of ammos just to err on the side of caution. It is decent in home guarding, which most characters (except Cveta) can guard sucessfully without being wounded or robbed as long as all holes in the shelter is patched up, though it might start to come up insufficient when crime breaks loose, which will require at least one assault rifle to keep the shelter safe. Another advantage of it is that it only fires one round per shot (unlike assault rifles), which conserves ammo while still being effective (unlike pistols). Should the shotgun is no longer in line with the player's tactics, it can also serve as a highly valuable trading item, only second to assault rifles and military vests.

Trivia[]

Judging from the icon silhoutte, the shotgun is most possibly a Remington M870, a shotgun that is popular worldwide.
